This article explains the buyer-side checkout flow, useful for organizers who want to understand what their attendees experience when purchasing tickets.
The checkout flow- The buyer selects their tickets on the event page and clicksBook Now.
- On the checkout page, they review theOrder Summary, tickets selected, AddOns, and the total amount.
- If they have a coupon code, they enter it in theCoupon Codefield and clickApply.
- They fill in theirBilling information, name, email, phone, and address.
- They select a payment method:
- Pay by Card, standard credit or debit card
- Pay with Crypto, if cryptocurrency payments are enabled
- They clickConfirm & Pay.
Once payment is confirmed, the buyer receives a ticket confirmation email with their QR code immediately.
Free ticketsFor free tickets, the checkout still runs but payment is not required. The buyer confirms their order and receives a ticket by email with a QR code, the same as a paid ticket.
What attendees need- A ShowRave account. If they do not have one, they can create one directly at checkout without leaving the page.
- A valid payment method for paid events.
If you have distributed coupon codes, attendees enter them in theCoupon Codefield on the checkout page before paying. The discount is applied to the order total automatically. SeeHow to create a discount coupon code.
