We are committed to fair and transparent refund practices. This policy explains when refunds apply, who handles them, and how to request one.
11. Overview
ShowRave is a platform that connects event organizers with ticket buyers. Ticket purchases are contracts between buyers and organizers. ShowRave facilitates payment but is not the event provider. Refund obligations therefore primarily rest with the event organizer; however, ShowRave enforces this policy to protect all parties.
22. Organizer-Canceled Events
- If an organizer cancels an event before it takes place, all ticket buyers are entitled to a full refund of the ticket price paid.
- The organizer is responsible for initiating refunds promptly upon cancellation, and no later than 14 days after the cancellation date.
- If an organizer fails to process refunds within this period, ShowRave may intervene to issue refunds on their behalf and recover the amounts from organizer earnings.
33. Postponed and Rescheduled Events
If an event is postponed or rescheduled, the organizer decides the refund approach. Organizers may offer full refunds, offer ticket transfers to the new date, or both. Organizers must clearly communicate the new arrangements to all ticket holders within 48 hours of making the decision.
44. Attendee-Requested Refunds
- Organizer Refund WindowEach organizer may set a refund window on their event. This is the period during which attendees can request a refund before the event date. The refund window is displayed on the event page. If no window is set, the default is no refunds after purchase unless the event is canceled.
- Outside the Refund WindowRefund requests submitted after the organizer's stated refund deadline are at the organizer's sole discretion. ShowRave cannot compel an organizer to issue a refund beyond their stated policy.
- No-Show PolicyFailure to attend an event does not qualify for a refund unless the organizer's policy explicitly permits it.
55. Free Tickets
Free tickets have no monetary value. No payment is taken, so no financial refund applies. Free tickets may be canceled by the attendee through their ShowRave account.
66. Add-ons and Extras
Add-ons (merchandise, extras, upgrades) purchased alongside tickets follow the same refund rules as the associated tickets. If the event is canceled, all add-ons are refunded. For attendee-requested returns, organizers determine the policy for their specific add-ons.
77. ShowRave Service Fees
The service fee charged by ShowRave per transaction covers platform, payment processing, and operational costs. Service fees are generally non-refundable. An exception applies only where the event is canceled by the organizer and applicable consumer protection law in the buyer's jurisdiction requires a full refund including fees.
88. How to Request a Refund
- Navigate to your order in your ShowRave account under "My Orders."
- Select the order and click "Request Refund" if the option is available.
- If the self-service option is not available, contact us through the Help Center or live chat with your order reference number.
- Our support team will review your request and respond within 2 business days.
99. Refund Processing Times
Approved refunds are processed within 5-10 business days of approval. The time for funds to appear in your account depends on your payment method and financial institution, typically 3-7 additional business days for card payments.
1010. Exceptional Circumstances
In cases of government-imposed restrictions, natural disasters, or other force majeure events that prevent an event from taking place, ShowRave will work with organizers to facilitate fair outcomes for ticket buyers. These situations are handled on a case-by-case basis in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.
1111. Contact and Disputes
If you believe a refund has been incorrectly denied, or if you are unable to resolve a refund issue with an organizer, please contact ShowRave Support through the Help Center or live chat. We will review the situation and act as a neutral facilitator. Our goal is a fair outcome for both organizers and attendees.
