Reserved seating assigns a specific seat to each ticket. You can let buyers pick their own seat at checkout, or have seats assigned automatically after booking. Reserved seating is configured per ticket tier, not per event.
Enable the seat map on a ticket tier- Open the ticket creation form, either on theTickets & AddOnsstep when creating your event, or fromMy Events → Live Events → Manage Tickets → Manageon an existing ticket tier.
- Tick theEnable seat mapcheckbox, "Use a seat layout for this ticket."
- Additional fields will appear to configure the layout.
- Enter the number ofRowsin your seating area.
- Enter the number ofSeats per row.
- Choose aSeat namingstyle:
- A1, A2, A3, alphabetical rows, numbered seats (e.g. Row A, Seat 1)
- 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, numeric rows and seats (e.g. Row 1, Seat 1)
- Optionally enter anyBlocked seatsto exclude from sale, for example, seats with obstructed views or accessibility spaces. Enter each blocked seat label separated by commas, such as:
A1, A2, B5. - TheSeat capacityfield shows how many seats will be available after blocking.
- ASeat previewrenders the layout so you can check it looks correct.
Use theAllow attendees to pick seatsoption to control how seats are allocated:
- Attendees pick seats, the buyer selects their preferred seats at checkout. Buyers will see: "You can select a seat at checkout."
- Seats assigned automatically, the next available seat is assigned after purchase. Buyers will see: "Seats will be assigned automatically after booking."
To offer different ticket prices for different areas of your venue, create a separate ticket tier for each section, each with its own seat map configuration. For example, a Front section and a Rear section, each with its own rows, seats, and price.
